This year, February is about so much more than Valentine's Day! We'll rediscover hidden passions, unearth old, forgotten dreams and put our fears into perspective. Get ready for your daily routine to get a jolt as fact and fantasy blur, allowing you to rediscover your ideal path … whether in romance, work, life purpose -- or all three!

February may not start on the sweetest note with partnership planet Venus in eccentric, experimental Aquarius, which sets a detached mood in romance -- one that does not go for candy hearts or glittery greeting cards! Luckily, Venus moves into the more sentimental sign of Pisces on February 11, giving us the best of both worlds just in time for Valentine's Day: while Venus in rebel Aquarius will have shaken us out of stale routines in romance (and possibly opened our minds to new potential partners!), Venus in Pisces will give romance a dreamy edge, soften our hearts and allow fact and fantasy to blur.

That means our approach to love gets the enchanting Pisces treatment just in time for a holiday that is all about ambiance. Scattered rose petals, candlelight and romantic music are staples for a good night out (or in) on February 14 because they allow lovers to escape to a place where they can focus on each other. As it turns out, Pisces is the sign of escapism, allowing us to create whatever world we want to on Valentine's Day.

But Pisces is also the sign of illusion, so be aware that this whimsical sign might confuse our character judgment a little. It's easy to get swept up in the romance of Valentine's Day, so if suddenly find your feelings for your partner strengthened, or find yourself falling for a date you've only just met, embrace the feeling -- but wait a few weeks to make sure the sentiment sticks around!

Still, the focus of February needn't be relationships: a different kind of magic happens on February 6 which can help us recover hope and overcome fears that may have been holding us back. Happy-go-lucky Jupiter forms a "sextile" -- or a harmonious angle -- with dark Pluto. These two planets couldn't be more opposite: Jupiter is known for expanding on people's strengths and encouraging their talents, while Pluto likes to unearth all that is shadowy, repressed and negative. But in this alignment, the two planets work together to unearth the best in each of us: since Pluto usually acts as a muckraker, it's really good at uncovering thoughts, ideas and ambitions that we may have forgotten along the way. Jupiter encourages Pluto to dig for the "buried treasures" in our personalities, hearts and dreams -- and this may just re-ignite a forgotten passion that is key to our purpose in life. It's a great time to ask yourself: What did I want to be when I grew up?
