How to unmask and seduce a masquerading Sun sign

Halloween is everybody's chance to allow overblown, fantastic images of their egos to rise to the surface. The Sun signs aren't too hard to pick out -- or pick up -- at your average costume ball or Halloween-themed party. When you use your astro-eye to identify the sign you're after, the seduction part is simple.

Aries (March 21 - April 19)
Look for unadulterated audacity. Aries is all about action, blood, gore and political hubris. If anyone dressed as Freddie Krueger, Jack Bauer, The Axe Murderer, Michael Vick, Wonder Woman, Hillary Clinton, Rudy Guiliani or George Bush looks your way, go in for the kill by relating to and/or succumbing to their not-so-thinly-veiled thirst for power. Offer yourself up for sacrifice, ask for an up-close interrogation or throw yourself at the mercy of his or her powers -- superhuman, political and otherwise.

Taurus (April 20 - May 20)
Any hint that you might consider spending some quality time with a Taurus is bound to grab their attention. Bob for an apple, take a bite and offer to share. The sexy Bull will interpret your symbolic act as "green means go" before you finish introducing yourself.

Gemini (May 21 - June 20)
The split personality of this elusive soul is almost guaranteed to come out at the end of October! Gemini might dress like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, the Hulk or a werewolf of either gender. A space-based brainiac like Lieutenant Uhura from 'Star Trek' would be another possible alter-ego for this puzzle-prone person, as would a cutesy cat, eager to slurp up a saucer full of gossip. Want one in your little black book? Start a conversation about geek gadgets and admire the hell out of that incredible mind.

Cancer (June 21 - July 22)
Cancer has a dark side that's reserved for people who don't respect home, country, family and food. This moody, sardonic crab might choose to pose as an innocent-looking grandma, bearing a tray laden with ''slimy eyeballs'' (really just dyed, peeled grapes). For a more humorous take on the food theme, a Cancer might might don a fat suit and stuff themself into a white apron topped with a chef's hat. Find the homiest culinary samples at the party, waltz over and spoon-feed your Cancer. Then you're in.

Leo (July 23 - August 22)
The High School Musical cheerleaders, King Lears, Marie Antoinettes, scantily clad Britneys and Posh Spices are all probably Leos in disguise (barely, though, since such costumes aren't far from their reality). Although they may seem intimidating, they only want to hear they're the best looking ones at the party and you're totally thrilled just to be in their presence. Don't offer too much alcohol -- you might have to suffer through a rendition of their audition for 'American Idol'! Say you'd rather hear it in bed, and you could be right on track.

Virgo (August 23 - September 22)
The french maid outfit or a Simon Cowell mask (the ultimate critic) could be dead giveaways, but don't discount more gruesome costumes that entail layers of latex and other meticulously applied cosmetics to create the effects of a credible vampire or zombie. Virgo is always down with the details, and will go to almost any lengths to get the right look going on. Win this meticulous Sun sign over with compliments about the artistry behind the image, or ask for help with removing gooey hair gel or sticky fake blood.
