Yet while the cosmic weather is a bit rough this particular winter, the magic of love can thrive when our spirits are up and we are willing to patiently nurture what we have. Aries (March 21 - April 19)
You're wild and crazy to begin with, but when your ruling planet Mars extends its stay in your 5th House of Dating and Diversion this winter, you'll bring the party-person act to a whole new height. For singles, the long backwards dance from December to March gives the planet of passion extra time to tickle your fancy and let you discover who you really want to be with. While it's always a good idea to put your profile together for online connections, you could also rediscover potential relationships that you previously passed on. Lovers from the good old days might pop out of the woodwork, filling your life with romantic opportunity that's yours to enjoy this winter. Already attached? Take a more playful approach toward your relationship. You may want to think about expanding the family or spending more time around children. Regress back to the magic of your first kiss this season, and a river of joy will wash over you.

Taurus (April 20 - May 20)
Sultry behavior is one of your natural attributes, Taurus, so there's no chance your love life will suffer from winter's chill. Start in mid to late December by making a wish on the potent New Moon in ultra-sexy Sagittarius. You can create relationship happiness when you consciously put in the effort. If you're single, a fresh approach to dating should yield results by New Year's Eve. You could discover that one of those friends of yours who says she knows someone that's perfect for you is actually on to something. Or, a chance meeting at an event attended by a huge crowd could lead to something special. If you're already paired up, ask yourself how you can improve your side of the relationship, even if it means making strong suggestions to your better half. By January and February, Venus brings chances for mixing business and pleasure, but be careful! Pillow talk has no place in the cube farm.

Gemini (May 21 - June 20)
This winter, adjustments to your schedule will be needed when Jupiter expands career opportunities and fills your plate with heavy responsibilities. But you know better than most that all work and no play leads to a pretty unhappy place. You'll exude sensuality in mid-January, when a solar eclipse drops an energy boost in your 8th House of Sex and Intimacy. If you're single, someone could come into your life to ensure you're not spending each and every night alone, worrying about what's going down at the job. If you've already got someone to love, let your partner distract you from work as frequently as possible. In February and March, Neptune could inspire you to take a trip somewhere that makes it impossible to do much else besides hide away in a hotel room with someone who enjoys a good conversation, hot sex and lots and lots of rest. Keep the faith and make your dreams come true.

Cancer (June 21 - July 22)
As a natural nester, you find winter to be a particularly romantic time. This year, the presence of so many planets in your 7th House of Partnership will add to your already amorous intentions. From mid-December onward, your focus will be on that one special person in your life. The lunar eclipse on New Year's Eve will make you extra attractive, and ensure that you get plenty of attention. Single Crabs can expect an active January, with Venus and Mercury playing around in Capricorn. Opposites do have this strange affinity for one another, and you could find yourself becoming attracted to a person who doesn't seem to be your type -- at first, anyway. If you're attached to someone already, spice things up by going away on a fantasy vacation in February or March. A cruise, whether it's around the world or along a local lake or river for the evening, can really bring out the emotional softie in you -- and inspire you to fall in love all over again.

Leo (July 23 - August 22)
You may not be in the best mood this winter, Leo, and your relationships could reflect that. Try to remain cheerful, even when you feel antsy and aggravated. Mars will push you toward more fervent modes of self-assertion, and you'll need to be careful about crossing the border into aggressive behavior. Neptune has been in your 7th House of Partners for many years, and now could be the time when you stand up to those who have been unfaithful and unreliable. Remember that you can also play a part in difficult times by expecting more of people than any human is capable of delivering. Single Leos will be more selective than usual about choosing people to date, and those who are already in a relationship will have a tendency to pick at their partner's flaws and faults. Mars will let up on you a bit by early March, but in the meantime, be gentle. It may be true that you deserve the best, but remember that if you insist on perfection, you could be left all alone, and that's a very sad place!

Virgo (August 23 - September 22)
The rest of the world might be cold and icy, but you're getting hotter all the time as the onset of winter brings a parade of planets into your 5th House of Flirting, Prancing and Partying. As soon as the Sun joins Mercury in Capricorn on December 21's Winter Solstice, you'll be cookin' up ways to enjoy any and all time you get to spend playing with your enchanting love match. If you haven't found the right person yet, don't worry: you won't be looking for long once Venus starts to pirouette around Capricorn in late December. On January 15, a solar eclipse could indicate the arrival of someone you'll still be thinking about long after your first meeting. Jupiter's arrival in Pisces on January 17 will also offer scads of opportunities for love. If you're already attached, mid-January is an ideal time to start doing something fun together. You could take a class or start playing a sport or game you both really like. If you're not yet involved, or you haven't been making enough time for your relationship, change all that. Uranus will make sure your love life remains filled with surprises, so be as adventurous and spontaneous as possible!
