About the Saturn Sisters

The Saturn Sisters are Sherene Schostak, M.A and Stefanie Iris Weiss, M.A. They're New York City-based best friends and co-authors of Surviving Saturn’s Return: Overcoming the Most Tumultuous Time of Your Life (McGraw-Hill/Contemporary Books, 2004) and Fate of Your Date: Divination for Dating, Mating, and Relating (Chronicle Books, 2006).  

The Saturn Sisters tell it like it is. Stefanie and Sherene are not your typical crusty, ancient astrologers -- they provide down-to-earth advice that you can use in the real world. The Saturn Sisters run Saturn Return workshops for women in crisis in New York City and around the world. The Saturn Sisters are currently resident astrologers at Elle UK. They were the astrologers for Teen Vogue from 2003 until 2006, and have written for Elle Japon, Elle Taiwan, and are regular contributors to Lifescript.com. They recently wrapped a weekly celebrity talk show for NBC’s iVillage.com called “Star Signs with the Saturn Sisters.”

Stefanie Iris Weiss, M.A. (Right) is an author and astrologer in private practice in New York City. She's also a sci-fi/fantasy novelist, a freelance columnist and a professor of writing. (The stellium in her third house has everything to do with this.) In addition to her Astrology books, she's written five self-help books for teens, including, most recently, Coping With the Beauty Myth: A Guide for Real Girls. Her other books have covered topics as diverse as grief, yoga and veganism. Stefanie has also written for Marie Claire, Ellegirl and Zink Magazine. She's been writing about Astrology since 1996. She was a senior contributor to Your Birth Sign Through Time, published in 2003 by Atria Books, a division of Simon & Schuster. She also contributed to Love Signs and You, also by Atria. Sherene Schostak, M.A. (left) is a Jungian psychotherapist, author and metaphysician who specializes in helping creative artists transform their addictions and creative blocks. She is a professional astrologer in private practice in New York City. She holds a Master's Degree from New York University in Clinical Psychology, and a Master's Degree in Psychoanalytic Studies from the New School for Social Research. In addition, she has had specialized training in working with addictions, having worked closely with recovery groups as a Senior Research Assistant for the National Drug Research Institute for five years.  
Sherene also has certification from the D.O.M.E. the Inner Guide Meditation Center, as an Inner Guide Meditation Initiator. She teaches classes and workshops internationally on Astrology, archetypal psychology, Eastern philosophy and Middle Eastern dance.
