Embrace the enthusiasm, but keep it in check

You may feel time is running out, but if you stay focused on what's real, you'll be ready for the significant changes heading your way. Somber Saturn entered critical Virgo and your 12th House of Destiny on September 2, 2007, signaling the beginning of an end. Saturn continues to remind you of what must be completed prior to its entry into your sign on October 29. Don't wait until the last moment to finish old business, for you might have backed yourself into a corner by then. Look over recent years and consider what can be pruned from your life as a fourteen-year growing season reaches culmination. Starting in November, Saturn in objective Libra will crystallize your successes and reveal your failures.

Maintaining regularity in your daily routine continues to be an issue for you as unpredictable Uranus journeys through your 6th House of Health and Habits. This phase started in May 2003, yet something is different now. Your desire for change became more intense when Saturn first opposed Uranus on November 4, 2008. This cosmic tug-of-war between the planets of constraint and release that began last year is exact again on February 5 and September 15, raising tension as you try to balance your desire for increased freedom with karmic responsibilities that you accepted previously. There is no quick solution to this profound life dilemma: The opposition recurs through July 26, 2010. It can take another year until you fully understand the ramifications of this shift and where your new path will take you.

You are a natural diplomat who's often ready to set your personal needs aside to make others happy. You are particularly sensitive to the movement of Venus, your ruling planet. She goes retrograde -- as she does every year and a half -- on March 6, turning your desires inward. Normally, Venus breezes though a sign in about a month, but this retrograde keeps her in impulsive Aries in your 7th House of Partnerships for most of February–May, making it easier than normal for you to charm others without sacrificing your needs.

But there's good news, too, as foretold by a rare super-conjunction among three spiritual planets -- expansive Jupiter, healing Chiron and intuitive Neptune -- in your 5th House of Self-Expression. You have an opportunity now -- perhaps even an obligation to yourself -- to make the most of this year by saying yes to love, life and the creative potential hidden in every moment. Of course, serious Saturn will prevent you from flying off a cliff without the proper wings, but your imagination is uncontainable and not restrainable. Giving yourself permission to dream can reawaken your inner child and make anything seem possible. It will, however, take a dose of common sense to manage such unbridled enthusiasm that knows no bounds. Encourage your creative visions, but keep your feet on the ground, especially while this buoyant trio coalesces on May 23–27, July 10–22 and December 7–21.
