Democratic National Convention

The Democratic Convention starts on Monday night in Denver. Chatter in the astrological community is focusing on the Moon’s position in the last degree of Gemini as the event opens. One writer pointed out how this is close to the Moon’s position for 9/11 and the devastating Asian tsunami, suggesting that this is bad news for the Democrats. Beginnings are important, but the opening of a convention may not, in fact, work like a person’s moment of birth.

Barack Obama’s campaign began long before the convention and he will accept the nomination on Thursday. I haven’t seen a serious study on the astrology of presidential campaigns that establishes one of these as the definitive chart that reflects the outcome. The Moon will quickly move into protective Cancer on Monday night and stay there for most of the convention. This sign is about home, family, safety and security, which covers most of the issues that concern voters. The convention ends with the Moon in dramatic Leo, which is Obama’s Sun sign and a fitting moment for a coronation.

The astrology of the Republican Convention has the powerful image of the Sun joining Saturn, the planet of maturity, in John McCain’s sign of Virgo, on its way to a constructive trine with generous Jupiter. These are very strong patterns that can reflect a sense of organization and experience that would serve the party well. However, Saturn is reliable but is also traditional astrology’s “greater malefic.” We’ll see whether its presence will underscore McCain’s strengths or expose his weaknesses.

The most important chart may be that of Election Day when Saturn and Uranus form the first of five major oppositions that won’t end until 2010. This face-off between the planets of the old and the new does not tell us which one will win, but certainly reflects the stark contrasts the nation is facing.

    If I may; this certainly shows the way the two parties behave or operate. The Democrats being all wishy washy about things. The Republicans being well set up but basically the Anti-Christ.

    Nevertheless, I believe The Democrats will win as the world is fed up of Republicans for the moment.

    Hi–It’s hard to overlook all the votes that Hillary got. Astrologically speaking, would this have been a good VP for Obama. Although I am for Obama, alot were for Hillary. What do you think.

    I am so intrigued by What Mr. Jawer pointed out about the planets alignments as it relates to Election Day….The face off between the old and the new. It is so apparant that we are either going to take a big Leap of Faith and go somewhat Blindly with the New (representing the enlightened type of philosophy/rhetoric that Obama speaks which matches up with the planet awakening and ascending) or we are going to decide as a country/planet that we are not yet ready for such a Blind Leap, choosing the well laid, tried and true, old school, Safe Path (represented by Mccain, who I do like, but do think that he Asrologicaly represents the Old, More of the Same, not the Big Leap that an awakening and ascending planet may be calling for). So which way will we go: Will be interesting to watch this play out.

    Regardless of what the candidates say, proclaim or promise, their basically the same. Each, claim to be one of or to relate to the American Citizen, yet continue to tow the same party line…(Fraud) on the people… And the people eat it up, hock. Line and Sinker; fail to recognize the truth and the facts of the actual issues, kept confused and distracted.
    The Constitution article 4 section 4 guarantees a republic form of government, where each individual’s unlimited and inalienable Rights are protected, not a democracy where mob rules, by public policy. The Constitution dose not authorize a party system which is fuddle, in nature. In America, we have the right to self govern, our freedom and protection depend on us protecting our supreme law of the land, so it can protect us. We in America have forgot… we have three votes, to watch the tyranny of men and women in government, the first is: a vote at the polls; the second: a vote as a member of a Grand Jury; the third: a vote as a juror in a civil preceding, where we are above the law, we have more power than the president, congress and the judge combined, we not only can question the facts, we can also question the validity of the law itself… prohibition was ended because jurors refused to convict…
    Real change would be served by a return to Constitutional Governance,
    Nether Candidate, address, pursuant to the Constitution, the truth about Tax’s, and that income tax, is unconstitutional, look to Article 1 Section 9 Clause 4; Amendment 9 the bill of rights. “If the legislature clearly misinterprets a constitutional provision, the frequent repetition of the wrong will not create a right.” Amos v. Mosley. The fact that the unconstitutional “patriot act” is administrative only and by it’s existence is offensive and dose NOT apply to any American civilian Citizen. An unconstitutional law, in legal contemplation, is as inoperative as if it had never been passed… “All laws which are repugnant to the Constitution, are null and void.” Chief Justice Marshall, Marbury v. Madison. The Constitution prevents any one entity, organization or administration from imposing any narrow view, like religion, upon us all, it is my personal spiritual and religious belief that life began before conception, the sperm and the egg are not dead, life simply and miraculously takes on another form, and eventually becomes cognizant, however it is not my right to impose my belief upon any one else. We also have a right to contract, a mirage is a contract, be it in the court house or in the church…”The State cannot diminish rights of the people.” Hurtado v. California. no one has the Constitutional authority to impose upon any one else, their own personal or religious beliefs, specifically on sex, skin color, social or economic position, same sex mirage, abortion, spiritual or religious beliefs… and the list goes on. People in this country have forgot what equal protection under the law is and are quick to impose their will on any and every one else.
    So, when it comes to the first of five dynamic Saturn and Uranus oppositions, what would be real change in that progression, would be the people invoke the Declaration of Independence…”That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government,… ” Return to Constitutional Governance and teach it in schools, without the dribble of a fuddle society and legalese or the fraud of tyrants.
