Full Moon Fever
December 9th, 2008 by Jeff JawerEvery Full Moon is charged with energy as the Earth is pulled in the midst of a Sun-Moon tug-of-war. The opposition of the the “lights” raises emotional tides every 29 days. This Friday’s Full Moon in Gemini at 11:37 a.m. Eastern Time is especially intense as three potent planets join the opposition to electrify the atmosphere. Assertive Mars, sometimes angry and aggressive, but always active, is conjunct the Sun in Sagittarius and shooting arrows at the opposing Moon. At tense right angles (called squares), the slow-moving opposition of crystalline Saturn and revolutionary Uranus add their complex coupling to this Full Moon. It’s hard to escape the idea that something is getting ready to explode. Of course, horrendous acts of man and devastating acts of nature seem to arise all too frequently in our news-wired world. This day, though, appears to be particularly inviting to shocking surprises.
Happily, there is an upside to a lunation as volatile as this. The adaptive capacities of the Moon in flexible Gemini are well suited to corral these dynamic forces and distribute them in new and inventive ways. Breakthroughs in technology and brilliant social ideas may bear fruit. Individually, this is a time to awaken and slough off sleepy habits, break out of rigid patterns and free ourselves from the outmoded models of the past. If we can find the flexibility to absorb the potential for panic in these shifting psychic tides, we can catch a wild wave to carry us beyond the boring boundaries of ordinary life, open our eyes to new visions and lift our spirits to the stars.

Can a person be born under one sign and have more of another sign’s traits? I was born under a Leo, July 26th 1959. However, it really doesn’t fit my character traits. I don’t have many if any of the bold outgoing over confident traits. I feel that I have most of the cancer traits. Is this possible? If so which sign do I go by and how can I get an accurate reading?
