A Semi-Serious Summer of Love
July 12th, 2009 by Rick LevineWe started the summer on a heavy note, with shadowy Pluto opposing the emotional Cancer Moon and tapping into our deepest relationship insecurities. But things lightened up with a little help from passionate Venus and Mars, planetary partners who met up in the steady sign of Taurus, helping us get our footing in matters of the heart.
Now, after this week’s Full Moon in Capricorn (complete with a potent lunar eclipse early Tuesday), the stage was set for a summer of growth and whimsy. With two more lunar eclipses ahead of us and a stand-off between mentally-active Mercury and stern Saturn August 17, it’s clear that this will be a season of transformation. Lighthearted fun is possible, but it’s undermined by a more serious, sometimes testy, tone. Luckily, greater awareness will get us focused on what it is we really want in a partner. You could easily find yourself on the path to bliss — if you’re willing to put in the effort.

wow. I’m reeling from my love of 8 years walking away without a word. My x from 20 years ago just popped up and is still in love. I”m just fragments held together by a dwindling scrap of hope. We shall see about this summer of love. Love and heartbreak do go together sometimes~

Right on!
Same old story with a place for the here/now: Commerce trumps sophistry.
It is the 60’s again - I was born in the Haight/Ashbury in 1950…saw it all from a small Russin neighborhood of beatneaks misplassed from North Beach and Topless joints to lower rent Victorian flats in the Haight.
I have never seen anything but progress. I do believe Saturn’s influence will help us realize there is not much romance without finance. The legal pot thing…not straddling the fence…participating in the living democracy; all here/now issues.
Instead of seeing pretty runaways being pimped and played, I now see an emergence of the Goddess spirit, helping humankind to learn to not be so worshipful of wealth, service insensitive, over materialistic and downright indolent. Anarchy only augmented misery. We are on a cooperative path to trade with communism and democracy. Completion is to be risen above and Light and Life Restoration will grow as the Fifth Epochal Revelations in The Urantia Book will merge. This will give us a stronger template to ground from as we re-cycle old science and metaphysics to do good things. The first order of the day is appreciation for all that does work. Ram Das and Leary mentioned TUB in the “Be Here Now,” book of the 60’s. It is our time Rick - you remember!
