We’re Back, and so is Mercury!
October 2nd, 2009 by Shannon DayThank goodness the retrograde period of Mercury is over huh??? Our human fallibility is already entirely clear, but with Mercury Retrograde, it’s intense. Even when on our honeymoon, seemingly relaxing in Amsterdam, St. Tropez, and Paris, the communique’ of many a travel plan was revved up and squelched from taxi transfers to hotel rooms. The drama could have been quite high had we not taken a vow of “mellow-ness” before we left. I’m actually quite relieved to be home, and “nest” this Fall. Amsterdam was beautiful and we stayed in the most incredible hotel called the Amrath. Our two day stint seemed short, and we were just coming down from our wedding high. We then took a train to St. Tropez. (September 15th, USA time.) Judi Vitale, (SkyVibe’s script writer had warned me about this day! She said that much will go wrong…) Well, it did!
Our connecting train was in Paris where we were to have a transport transfer. Not only was our guy 20 minutes late, he didn’t speak any English, didn’t know where he was going, and got caught in a demonstration. Needless to say, we missed out train, took a later one, and at that time our rental car company was closed. We then had to take a taxi at 11PM to our Hotel which cost $250. We then got to our Hotel and they had given our room away and put us in a space next to a stinky alley where garbage trucks woke us up at 6AM. This is what I mean by Mercury Retrograde with Mars! All travel was cursed that day. If not just for us but everyone! The next day a rare 100 year storm hit with torrential rains and flooded the beaches of nearby St. Maxime.
There were cars in ditches and mattresses on trees. At this point it all became Very Funny! I understood I was with the love of my life, and all trials or tribulations can be taken in stride, and not be afraid. Despite closed roads, insane traffic, and seemingly insurmountable toll booths, we escaped the South beaches and ended up in the idyllic town of Eze. Whereupon we checked into a Hotel on the fly and had the best night of our lives. From the environment to the food, the views, to the magic of a medieval town, we were in heaven. Upon our return to St. Tropez, we were given a much better room, Mars had moved out of high position with Mercury, and all seemed to settle down… A few days later we left for Paris, and of course, Paris was Paris~ In one day we went to Notre Dame, The Louvre, Champs De L’Esse, L’Arc de Triomphe, the Tour Eiffel, and the next day Monmartre and the Sacrecoeur. We did it all, and then some. We also received an e-mail from our neighbor with international connections who set up a professional photo shoot with Djamilla Cochran as a wedding present on our last day in the city. It was quite Fantabulous! You can see a few of the images at: http://djamillarosacochranphotography.blogspot.com/2009/09/photoshoot-with-shannon-day-and-duncan.html Fun Stuff!
Admittedly our honeymoon was Glamorous and very Un-glamorous. All in the mix. Did we learn anything??? Yes! That life is that much better with love by your side~ We talked much about the past, future, dreams, and visions. Now that we’re back, Mercury is too, and we can move forward! Whew, and thank goodness. I’m looking SO forward to shooting SkyVibe tomorrow! We’re in November…. Ahhhh… Keep Vibing your Sky, and thanks for welcoming me back! Mwah!
