Psychic Strongtree in Hudson
October 30th, 2009 by A.T. MannThis afternoon we had a very successful first try at “Psychic Strongtree,” an informal event at our local coffee house here in Hudson, opposite the Amtrak station. Danny Taylor did his psychic readings (also using tarot cards) and I did some using my Mandala Astrological Tarot. By design, my readings are meant to be brief, these were limited to 15 minutes, but tackling important issues in a great degree of detail.
I also try to use sequences, whether doing astrology or tarot, by which I mean taking a series of planetary aspects or, in this case, cards, we create an unfolding array of influences. The client chooses to ask a question and I also have them pick a time period over which they want to know about their issues. I ask that they are divisible by four because I use a modified Celtic Cross with a Significator in the middle, a Crossing card over it that is simultaneously the querent, the question, the influences blocking them from manifesting the influences, which is also the key to describing the “bridge” over which they must pass in order to bring latent influences into being.
Using my square cards that can align with any of the four “angles” of the chart, these little six card readings are very accurate indeed. Thus I was able to see quickly and easily that a woman asking about why the energy and interest has left her life, a majority of the cards leaned to the left (toward her personality/self), showing me (and her) that the issue was really about her choices or lack of them. This was amplified because she had Saturn in Virgo in the position of the fourth house, below the Significator. She needed to be prompted to make better choices in her life, to become more aware of her inability to create appropriate boundaries to protect her from others who aim to take advantage of her and use her energies. This was easy to communicate and well received.
I hope we will continue this practice of Friday afternoon readings at Strongtree as I have a feeling people will be asking for them anyway.
Best, Tad

Hi, I loved hearing about your practice for readings in a coffee house. My dream is to open up a Coffee Cafe with a new age twist. Which would include readers like yourself. Any input about having a successful plan to open up my own business. Thanks for sharing your story.
