Tarot Advice for Sun in Scorpio

How to deal with the changes coming in your love life

Tarot Advice for Sun in Scorpio

Did you know that each Major Arcana Tarot card has an astrological correlation? For some, it's a planet, and for others it's an astrological sign. Every week, we'll be taking a look at the major events happening in our changing sky, and sharing advice on making the most of them from the Tarot. This week, we take a look at the Sun in Scorpio.

Sun in Scorpio

On October 23, the Sun shifts from sociable, loving Libra into passionate Scorpio, forcing relationships to the next level ... like it or not! It's no longer enough to just be with someone, as we begin asking ourselves whether we're getting as much as we're giving, and what it is that we really need. This sign gets a bad rap sometimes -- if someone talks enough about Scorpio, words like "jealousy" and "mistrust" are bound to get thrown around -- but there's a little more to it than that. Scorpio feels things so intensely that it often scares them. During the Sun in Scorpio, we're all going to feel a little scared and a little uncertain about relationships, and it won't have anything to do with Halloween!

What the Tarot Says:

The Death Card

Deck: Feng Shui

In some decks, the cards are renamed, and the Transformation card in this deck might just be my favorite. Traditionally known as Death, this card corresponds with Scorpio, and like its sign association, it's often misunderstood. It isn't about a psychical death -- it's about change. And when it comes to your love life, it's about knowing when a relationship can't be fixed, and letting it go.

Once you're done taking relationship inventory during the Sun in Scorpio, you'll have a pretty good idea of which relationships to hold onto and which aren't worth your time. The Death/Transformation card reminds us that with great change comes the chance to refresh and renew, which is always a good thing.
