Would be VERY interested in camelid healing! I have a pet alpaca (along with some others, but they ain't as special and will be sold which sounds a bit cold, but we can't keep 'em all). He's a very special boy, physically HUGE and very gentle. When we connect, we connect very well indeed. It's like he's talking to me somehow ...

I've heard about zen with horse, how riding horse can heal certain things and move stagnant energy. i've never learned it though. holistic healing is very popular. I always choose to go with anything but modern treatment, if it is available. but sometimes they are quite expensive.
I will visit your site. maybe one day I will be able to ride a horse lol I've always wanted to, but to have them as pet it takes a lot of money and they need a big yard.
Hi WWS
I have always thought that of alpacas and have called them the most spiritually grounded animal. They are better for the environment than most stock animals, and their very presence is calming. Just watching them cushed or grazing is something which brings great calm I find. And as said, my pet Hercules, well he has a way of looking right into the depths of your soul. I think - unless in circumstances like you mentioned with your llama - they are the ones who bring the healing to us, as they do carry a light as you said. And I'd love to visit Peru & Chile to see where they originated from. Have to give up the smokes tho' ... think the Altiplano might just play havoc with the ole lungs ... :)
thank you for reminding me how awesome animals really are. I want to check out your website. I hate seeing animals in cages all the time. I have a pet hamster that i let roam free for a little while everyday. Me and my son took her outside today so she could play in the grass and explore. She is very sweet and tame. She even makes little noises in her cage when she needs to be let out. Animals are very good for us.
walkwithspirit, I will do as you suggested. I have high respect for those working with animals. in the world where animals are abandoned and subject to experiments, people like you appreciate all living beings souls and all spirits. You play an important role to help people see with their hearts the invisible world that they have been taught not existing. May your work as shaman always blessed, always fruitful.
I see what you mean. Is it possible for you to move? Maybe sell the house and relocate to a better environment. I read that it's not ethical to try heal a land that will be harmed again. Not sure if this applies to the land you live in, but if people there are harming the land and animals, is there really a future for you to stay? they might end up hating you and harm you in the end. in fact they already harmed you emotionally that you are unable to work. Just a suggestion.
I will join. I have seen the link but I thought it says for people whose pets need healing only. I don't know if I can join just for praying. thanks for the info!
Hi walkswithspirit,
I'm really interested in animal healing and communication. Just wanted to say, I also lived in Idaho ( very remote part in the east) for two years and just had to get out. It is such beautiful country but I found it hard to connect with some of the people who lived there. I really don't care what anyone believes...as long as they don't judge me and tell me how I live my life is wrong or try to "convert" me. In my opinion, many people in the area were closed-minded and preachy which surprised me because there is something so spiritual about that place. I would have expected a more open-minded crowd. Anyway, I also did not like the general attitude about animals. Horses were treated as beast of burden. Dogs that did not chase cattle were deemed worthless and shot. People would just dump their pets near large ranches when they didn't want them anymore. I found it very upsetting. Anyway, I don't mean to pick on Idaho people. I understand that there are lots of wonderful people too. I just didn't seem to find them.
I have a horse too and find it so therapeutic to be with him. After really watching horses and they ways they interact with other horses and people you could never convince me that they are just beasts of burden. My mom had an experience where she slipped on ice as she was leading two horses to their stalls and had trouble getting back up. She said that she was in tears and scared that there was nobody around to help her and she was hurt and cold. The two horses she had been leading both looked at each other and then both at the exact same time lowered their heads so she could grab onto their halters and then lifted her up. Mom said it was the most wonderful thing she has ever experienced. I've got some other interesting stories that I'll save for another post! I'd love to hear about your experiences too!
I'm also really interested in cats and the way they communicate and also the way act as little tranquilizers for people. If I'm having a bad day, all I have to do is watch or sit with one of my cats and pet them and I feel better. I truly believe they soak up a lot of negative energy. I notice that when I'm feeling sad, my cats who are usually very playful and active will always come and lie down quietly near me. I love those cats!
Anyway, I will have to check out your website. Thanks for starting this thread. I've been searching for others who are interested in the healing powers of animals and also who love them as much as I do.
