Wish there was a way to tell if a man understands you and your emotions on a deeper level? Or if you could truly be yourself around him at all times? Or if he'd be there for you when you needed him most? Well, good news: there is! Vedic Astrology reveals what inborn "temperaments" you and your man have, and how compatible they are together. It's all in the stars. Read on ...
When you and a man have the same fundamental temperament, you truly get each other and can fully be yourselves. You'll laugh at the same things, and appreciate each other’s emotional reactions. It's as though you "speak the same language," and rarely have to explain yourself or convince him of why you said or did certain things. Best of all, when you’re upset, he'll be able to comfort you by saying things like, "I’d feel the same way."
Having different temperaments makes it hard to "get" each other and be yourselves. He won't laugh at your jokes or enjoy the same activities, and you may find yourself embarrassed by how he acts in social settings. Worst of all, he'll be unable to comfort you when you're upset. He may make you feel worse by saying things like, "You shouldn't feel that way." Your temperaments -- and if they're compatible or not -- can be found in your Moon signs.
In Vedic Astrology, the emotional nature of a person is indicated by his or her Moon sign, one of the 27 Vedic signs which makes up Astrology's original zodiac -- smaller star clusters which were later adapted into the 12 larger Greek signs. There are many psychologically deep, insightful aspects to each of these 27 signs. One of them is called "Gana" which translates to mean "race" -- but technically means "temperament."
In Vedic Astrology, there are three kinds of temperaments that all 27 signs fall into: nine of each. They’re called angels, humans and demons. This has nothing to do with whether or not you are "good" or "bad," right or wrong. Instead, each temperament explains how you relate and react socially, and how compatible you are with people of different temperaments.
The word "angels" in this instance does not mean good or pure. Angels are the most traditional and conservative people. They're the most likely to "draw within the lines" and be politically correct. They have strong ideals and an inner set of rules they think everyone should live by. They care about being appropriate and honoring traditions -- doing things the way they've "always been done."
"Demons" does not mean bad or evil. Demons are the most untraditional, unconventional, "buck the system" people. They have the most intense emotions. These are the innovators, and rabble-rousers -- here to live life out loud, follow their own rules and find their own truth, willing to break with tradition if they feel there's a better way.
"Humans" are more progressive than angels, but are also practical and pragmatic. They live in the chasm between "angels" and "demons" -- not overly traditional while still not likely to "rock the boat." They’re less conservative than angels and more innovative, but less so than demons. When it comes to compatibility, the more alike two people are, the more they get along (and the less they scare each other).
As you can probably guess, angels and demons are totally different. It's very difficult for them to understand each other. They might be initially drawn to each other ... after all, who doesn't like the exciting bad boy? Or the solid, reliable woman? But over time, it's harder and harder for them to agree. So they'll try to change each other, and eventually just feel disconnected. Because of this, we're all happiest with partners of the same temperament.
Demon women need to be with demon men. Only a demon man can truly handle her emotional intensity and appreciate her wild, independent ways. Human women can get along with everybody. A demon will open her up, while an angel will tie her down. An angel woman must be careful not to make men who aren't "angels" feel judged or criticized. She's happiest with another angel who can appreciate her need to always do what she feels is right.
If two people are of different temperaments, the woman in the relationship often makes the mistake of thinking it must mean the man doesn't love her, thinking, "If he loved me, he'd celebrate my uniqueness, right?" or "If he loved me, he'd reassure and comfort me when I was upset, right?" Not necessarily -- maybe he just doesn't understand. This has nothing to do with love, and everything to do with both of your inborn natures.
