A podcast can be listened to by going to its web page (in the case of the Daily Planet Pulse, by going here) and just listening – the audio player on the page will play the podcast for you. In some cases, you may need to download a plug-in, whether it is a Flash application or a specific multimedia player like RealPlayer, Windows Media Player, or QuickTime. Alternatively, the podcast may be downloadable to your computer or iPod, where it can be listened to at your leisure.

How do I subscribe to podcasts?
Subscribing means never having to go the site to see if a podcast has been updated! If you have iTunes, you can subscribe directly from that program, and the podcasts will be waiting for you when you open it. If you don't have iTunes, you can subscribe to some podcasts through start pages like Google, My Yahoo!, myAOL, and Newsgator. Just follow the instructions on the podcast page.

Do I need an iPod?
Nope! You can listen to podcasts right from your computer. In fact, most podcasts even work if you're on a dial-up ISP. If you do have an iPod, though, you can download podcasts to it and listen on the go.
