Tarot and Astrology are two forms of divination that deal with understanding and explaining the same underlying forces of the universe. There is an intricate web of intimate relationships and correspondences between Tarot and Astrology.

There are 22 spiritually archetypal cards in Tarot, called the Major Arcana, and four suits of more ordinary cards, making a total of 78 cards in all. These "ordinary" cards, referred to as the Minor Arcana, can be further broken down into "royalty" and "numeric." In Astrology, there are 4 elements relating to the 4 seasons, 12 zodiac signs mapping out the earth's sky and 9 planets revolving around the earth.
