Valentine's Day Feng Shui

Invite love and passion to your home

 Valentine's Day Feng Shui

With the approach of Valentine's Day, you'll want to make a few romantic adjustments to your home. Although some of these cures require major lifestyle adjustments, you'll be surprised at how effective they are. And once your sex life starts gathering steam, these changes will seem very small indeed. Enjoy!

Ignite Your Hot Spot
The far right corner of your home is the relationship gua. Therefore, you want to make this area as romantic as possible. A comfortable love seat, a picture of lovers in a passionate embrace or a fragrant bouquet of flowers would all activate this spot. Move decidedly unromantic objects like the garbage can, litter box or desk to a more utilitarian part of your home, like the helpful people gua (the near right corner).

Double Up
Photos and pictures of lone people will reinforce your image as a singleton. Replace these images with loving couples and happy group photos. Angle chairs toward each other so they won't seem so isolated, and place candlesticks side-by-side instead of spacing them far apart on a mantle or dining table.

Make Room for Love
One of the fastest ways to drive love from your door is to jam one side of your bed against a wall. If you're going to attract a lover, you need to clear a path for them. Placing matching night tables on either side of the bed creates a virtual love magnet.

Clear Out Your Closet
Having your closet jam-packed with your own clothes is a sign that you're not ready to share your life with someone else. Put off-season items into storage, donate clothes that don't fit to charity and rid your wardrobe of things you don't love. Both your closet and bureau should be one-third empty if you're serious about finding love.

Stock the Medicine Cabinet
Having a spare toothbrush, razor and deodorant for an overnight visitor will expand your romantic prospects exponentially. Be mindful of your prospective lover's needs. An extra robe and a set of clean towels may come in handy sooner than you think. When it comes to feng shui, being prepared is half the battle.
