Forums: How To Use

Divination is a mysterious and magical topic that can be both captivating and confusing at the same time. You deserve a safe, like-minded community where you are free to ask about your birth chart, Tarot card meanings, love and relationships questions, the latest astrological events, or anything else that's on your mind.

That's why we created a space to meet, interact, and learn from one another! The revamped Tarot.com Forums are filled with diverse individuals who are eager to engage in conversations on a wide range of divination topics.

The forums are free to join, easy to use across different devices, and make member communication straightforward and fun. Learn how to become a member and make the most of your Tarot.com Forums experience below!

Registering for the Forums:

If you're currently a member of Tarot.com...

Step 1:
• Visit Forums.Tarot.com or find our Community Forums link at the bottom of any Tarot.com page.

Step 2:
• For Desktop, you'll find the option to Register in the top right-hand corner of your screen.
• For Mobile, visit your Menu options on the top right-hand corner of your screen and find the option to Register at the bottom of the Navigation menu.

If you're new to Tarot.com...
Step 1:
Click here to create a new Tarot.com member profile by filling in the requested details.

Step 2:
• You'll be redirected to the Forums where you will choose a unique username and confirm your email address.

Logging In:

Step 1:
• For Desktop, you'll find the option to Login in the top right-hand corner of your screen.
• For Mobile, visit your Menu options, and find the option to Login at the bottom of the Navigation menu.

• Log in using your unique Tarot.com Forums username and password connected to the Forums.

Updating your Forums Profile:

Our new forums allow you to personalize your profile and share details about yourself with your fellow members!

Step 1:
• For Desktop, find your profile icon with your picture in the top right-hand corner and choose to Edit Profile from the drop-down menu.
• For Mobile, visit your Menu options and choose to Edit Profile from the 'Profile' section of the Navigation menu.

Step 2:
• From here, you'll be able to update your: Profile Picture, Email Address, and Password.
• You'll also have the opportunity to add an About Me and a Signature to your profile to let other members know more about yourself and your divination interests.

Adjusting your Settings:

Personalize the way that you'd like your Tarot.com Forums profile to be alerted and viewed.

Step 1:
• For Desktop, click the profile icon in the right-hand corner and choose the Settings option within the drop-down menu.
• For Mobile, click the Menu options and choose Settings under the 'Profile' section of the Navigation menu.

Step 2:
• From here, you'll be able to make a series of adjustments to your profile and request how and when you like to be alerted or notified about changes in the forums.

Creating a Post:

Choose the specific forum that you'd like to post to. These are organized by divination and general Tarot.com community themes.

Step 1:
• For Desktop, these themes are located on the top navigation bar and on the Forums homepage.
• For Mobile, these themes can be found within the Menu options and on the homepage.

Step 2:
• After choosing a forum theme, click the New Topic button.
• Enter the topic title and create your post!

Step 3:
• If you want to include pictures, links, or files to your post, click the icon dedicated to the action (ex: Camera icon to upload an image).
• Your image, link, or uploaded content should appear in the content box.

Replying to a Post or Comment:

Reply to a member's post to continue a topic thread.

Step 1:
• Click the Reply button at the bottom of the topic thread.
• Enter your response and click Submit.

Reply to a member's comment to have a more direct conversation.

Step 1:
• Click the Reply link within the comment itself.

Step 2:
• The member you're replying to will be tagged in the content box.
• Enter your response and click Submit and the member will be notified of your reply.

Step 3:
• To tag members in a comment or response type the '@' symbol and begin typing member's name. • A list of available members matching the letters typed should begin populating.

Following a Topic:

You can choose to get alerts when other members interact with you or when comments or posts are added to topics you're interested in.
Step 1:
• Choose the topic or thread that you're interested in and click the Not Watching button.

Step 2:
• Change this setting to Watching to begin receiving notifications about any updates.

Step 3:
• You can choose to get alerts around the topics you're Watching by visiting your Account Settings and adjusting your settings within the 'Watch' section.
• To stop Watching a comment or topic, use the drop-down menu and choose to Ignore.

Notifications:

Receive and view notifications easily! You can catch discussions right away or quickly review what's been happening in the Forums while you've been away.

Step 1:
• For Desktop, click the Bell icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
• For Mobile, click the Menu icon, scroll to the bottom to the 'Notifications' section.

Step 2:
• By clicking the notification, you'll be taken directly to the comment, post, or topic that you've been alerted about.
• From there, you can easily reply or interact with the discussion.

Step 3:

Reporting Spam:

Quickly report comments and posts that are spam or do not follow Forums etiquette.

Step 1:
• If you see a post that seems suspicious, click the Options icon (three vertical dots) within the post.

Step 2:
• Choose to Flag this post for moderation.
• An admin will be immediately notified and quickly review the post and act accordingly.
