September 2013 Career Horoscope

Nose to the Grind Stone

It's sometimes said that it's not what you know but who you know that counts. This month it's both. September starts with the Sun in efficient Virgo, an Earth sign known for its superior skills and attention to detail. Solar power flows to those who attend to details, master the tasks at hand and refine their work methods. Being more systematic is another way to tap into Virgo's combination of high quality and productivity.

The New Moon in this sign on September 5 is an excellent time to initiate training. Potent Pluto's favorable trine to this Sun-Moon conjunction can take us back to the past to recover old skills and talents that are now ready to be applied in different ways.

Messages are mixed on September 9 when verbal Mercury enters sociable Libra, which is excellent for objectivity and making connections, and active Mars forms a tense square with limiting Saturn. Concentration and patience are useful for solving tough problems or laying a solid foundation, but pushing too hard and fast can result in frustration, delays or costly mistakes.

The willingness to dig deeper into ourselves comes with Venus' shift into passionate Scorpio on September 10. Quirky Uranus kicks in on September 14 and 15 with aspects to Mars and Mercury that trigger innovation but can also spark impetuous actions and words.

The Pisces Full Moon on September 19 is a reminder to be more sensitive to others, a lesson that comes easily when the Sun enters accommodating Libra on September 22 to put professional relationships on the front burner.
