My Week in San Francisco
June 16th, 2009 by A.T. MannI returned recently from a week-long trip to San Francisco to give a talk on Astrology & Healing featuring my Astrology medical and healing work, including working with pendulums, and also a one-day workshop about my Tarot.com Astro Location Feng Shui work. The twenty-three participants all had their ALFS wheels made, which are called Local Space charts, and they relocate your birth chart to the place where you live now, and then plot the position of your planets onto the horizon around your house/apartment/property or office.
This is a profound process because it shows in which direction the various planetary energies act on you and also where you are likely to have symbolic expressions of those qualities. And, instead of simply a direction away from the center, it is an axis that goes in both directions (i.e., it will go both SE and NW). As an example, your Jupiter line shows where your religious views, philosophy of life or attitude toward prosperity will manifest. If a bathroom or empty quadrant is there, you would need to discover and implement a “cure,” a symbolic or actual compensation for this, and it might be something that either literally flows or that shows and demonstrates flow in the opposite area of your house or room. It might be a water fountain in the yard outside, it could be a fish tank inside, or might be a raked gravel area. It also might be where you keep your psychology or Astrology books or religious images or icons, like mandalas, crosses or spiritual signals.
When I originated the idea, I used the Local Space chart within the eight-sided bua gua octagon used in traditional Chinese Feng Shui. When you combine the two systems, you get a profound and powerful way to diagnose the weaknesses or strengths of a particular place for an individual (or family), and also to suggest solutions to problems that might reside there. While it is an ongoing process of discovery for me and the many who are using it through the Tarot.com reports, there are many encouraging signs that it not only works, but is instrumental in people “rediscovering” their own rooms and houses. This is a very positive sign.
I followed the weekend by doing quite a few individual Life Time Astrology readings, which were appreciated by my clients, most of whom came to either the lecture, the workshop, or both. It always amazes me how groups of clients, from another place entirely, who come in an almost random way, expose to me themes that are also running through my life at the time. I have begun to think of readings as a “reversible oracle” that says as much about me as it does about my clients, which increases the energetic exchange in the readings and also brings a more personal engagement on my part. It is also great to see people face-to-face rather than talking over the phone, although the readings are just as potent either way.
However, it is very good to be home.
Almost immediately afterward, I got an email from the wonderful West Coast calendar publisher Pomegranate, asking if I would do a Twelve Mandala calendar for 2011, which I instantly agreed to do. You can see my Twelve Mandalas on the Sacred Arts section of my website: www.atmann.net/artdesign.htm
Thanks for reading this, ATMann
