2018 will be a significant year connected to your most committed relationships. One thing is certain: if you're unhappy with the way things have been going between you and your mate, it's time to re-evaluate. This will be the year you decide if you can work through the tension you're feeling. Alternatively, it might be the year you determine that your relationship is no longer salvageable.
It won't be an easy decision either way, but as 2018 begins you're likely to feel that gnawing sense that there is work to be done in the partnership department. In fact, this might have begun in late December 2017 when Saturn edged into your 7th House of Committed Alliances. This area of your chart rules relationships in both your personal and business life, so either (or both) might be in for changes.
If you move into the New Year feeling as if you're no longer happy in one of these relationships, the feeling of being burdened and even shackled might be something you're resolute to change. If you are married for example, and you and your mate have hit a rough patch, this will be the year to begin couples counseling. That, of course, assumes that you're both still in love and ready to do the work necessary to make your connection solid once again. In some cases, this transit of Saturn will be more about realizing a relationship is broken beyond repair. And if that is the case, it will be time to move on.
Pay attention to a defining Solar Eclipse in your sign on July 12 for a major development in this arena. This eclipse will be closely opposite Pluto, the planet of power and control, now in your relationship sector. You might be ready to make a significant personal change and your partner may not be comfortable with it. Another possibility is that this eclipse will be a reflection of you feeling that it is time to start your life over -- sans your partner.
The bright side
Not everyone will have such dire experiences in love, however. Saturn going through your 7th house is simply a test of your commitment to someone close. In fact, there is a strong possibility that many Cancerians will find this year to be one where they are ready to make a lasting commitment to their sweetheart. Jupiter will move through your romance sector until November 8, opening your heart and helping single Cancerians meet someone very special. With Jupiter making an empowering link to Pluto in your 7th house on January 15, April 14, and again on September 12, an engagement or even marriage is possible.
After November 8 Jupiter moves through your 6th house, and you'll focus on work opportunities. It's possible that you'll take on a second job or extra freelance assignments. Your work environment will become happier and your health may even improve.
Widening your friendship circle
In other news, from May 15-November 6 you may notice a rapid change in your social life -- one that you find exhilarating. You'll have the opportunity to spend time with more unique and eclectic people while Uranus moves through your friendship sector during these months. Expect this change to be more permanent in 2019, but for now, you'll get a taste of all the progressive new acquaintances that will have the power to make you feel alive again socially. Enjoy every moment of it!
